I’d like to take a moment to share my appreciation to everyone who has been following the adventures of “Furber and the Mystic Woods”. Thank you for all your support.
There are plenty of new episodes coming soon (including Furber’s origin story.) Meanwhile, I’ve been working on a longer form graphic novel, which I hope to release later this year, and behind the scenes, I’ve been experimenting with new brush tools and drawing techniques.
I’m very grateful to everyone who has taken time to read these stories. I love creating and sharing them.
Wishing everyone a very joyful 2026!

Hello readers,
I have just completed writing and illustrating the first seven episodes of Furber and the Mystic Woods, which introduces the main cast of nature spirits.
I love working on this project and I really hope you have enjoyed all the adventures so far!
On a personal level, this project represents my own journey of healing, and the insights I have gathered, through my connection to nature and the practice of mindfulness.
My wish is that these stories can go on to heal parts of other people too.

As always, there are new episodes coming soon, but I’d also like to mention that I’ve started scripting two special Halloween and Winter Solstice episodes.
I’ve also started planning a Mystic Woods graphic novel, which I plan to release next year!
As well as regular webcomic episodes, I’d like to continue to expand the world of the Mystic Woods with short stories, blog posts, mini comics, artwork, animated shorts, and more…
My main mission is to continue sharing my stories with the world, as it’s a big part of how I express myself. However, with this project in particular, I’d like to start building a community based around an appreciation of nature, creativity, and mindfulness.
I’d also like to do whatever I can to help preserve woodland and natural spaces in the UK.

Thank you for being part of this journey!

After a long day of tree listening, Furber had arrived back home. He knew exactly what he needed to do next. He made his way to the stove and put the kettle on. As the kettle gradually began to boil, Furber reflected on his day.
I’m making progress, it’s been difficult, but I’m making progress…
Furber had gone much further into the woodland today and spoken to many trees. He listened deeply to their concerns and took time to comfort them. Through his patience and understanding, Furber was making a big difference.
Soon there was a sharp whistle and Furber turned his attention back to the kettle. He took the kettle and carefully tipped the water out into a teapot. The water turned a rich golden colour, and the gentle scent of tea leaves began to fill the room.
Furber paused before pouring the tea out into his cup.
I think if anyone has earned a cup of tea, it’s me!
Moments later, Furber made his way outside. The evening air was much cooler now and the woods were quiet. Around the back of his house, Furber had set up a small table and chairs with a view that overlooked the woodland.
As Furber sat down and began to drink his tea, he felt the heartbeat of the Earth underneath his feet and thought about his connection to the world around him.
When I’m in the present moment, I feel joyful.
He drank again from his cup.
In the present moment, I’m reminded that I’m never alone. I’m connected to a universe full of love, compassion, and playfulness.
Separation is an illusion.
As sky darkened and slowly filled with stars, Furber smiled to himself, because his cup of tea was the universe, and the universe was his cup of tea!
